Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE:

A business facing role, responsible for delivering and supporting business change initiatives and system enhancements, including Business Cases, Requirements Analysis, Solution Design, Project Management and Testing for all proposed solutions to a business unit

KEY ACCOUNTABILITES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Act as the Business representative for changes to their services, ensuring alignment with the business needs in conjunction with internal IT partners and the outsourced partner
Monitor and improve business satisfaction with the quality of service delivered
Review and sign-off all material changes to the specific service within scope of responsibility
Contribute to the Risk and Issues Register for the specific service/s within area of responsibility
Develop and maintain an understanding of the business, business strategies and IT roadmap with the aim of understanding how to help support and facilitate the business process reengineering of House of Fraser systems
Helping the business refine processes in the current environment
Provide Customer Relationship Management for specific business functions establishing a reliable channel of communication between IT and the Business
Ensure that both the project and service delivery teams, and the business representatives have a clear and unambiguous expectation of projects or services to be delivered, including priorities and timescales
Hold regular review meetings with key business representatives and IT Mangers to co-ordinate the following:
delivery of planned projects
updates to the current service
risks & issues
future plans

Assess the feasibility of proposed developments, constructing the business case for presentation to IT and Business Users
Capture business requirements leading to the production of requirements specifications, manage sign-off process and support with the co-ordination of User Acceptance testing.

Carry out System Testing when relevant
Develop Feasibility Studies and Financial Business Cases, Requirements Capture and management of User Acceptance Testing
Keep up to date with IT developments in the market place and advances in technology, especially those relevant to area of responsibility
Ensure that the current and future project and service requirements are identified, understood and documented
Where required, manage the scoping, development and delivery of projects to the business

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Demonstrable experience of retail systems in a business analysis and planning role
Excellent communications and presentation skills
Track record in implementation of business system change
Subject Matter Experts in chosen field
Project Management

Regular travel will be required between our London and Swindon offices but the successful candidate can be based at either location.
