Job Description

Job Purpose
• To provide and maintain a robust intranet platform for Sodexo UK & Ireland employees
• To promote Sodexo externally to clients, customers and potential employees by creating and maintaining corporate websites including http://uk.sodexo.com/, http://www.sodexo-healthwise.co.uk, etc
• To support the business and Sodexo Group HQ with online projects, systems, websites and applications

Accountabilities

• Ensure that the UK & IE intranet sites have up to date information for the business users to enable them to follow the correct processes and procedures
• Produce training materials and conduct training for the intranet editors and ensure all areas of the site have an owner and their section is kept up to date
• Maintain corporate websites to promote the company externally to clients, prospects, influencers, job seekers etc
• To work closely with Group to ensure collaborative global solutions are achieved
• Support the UK & IE business on projects to develop new online tools to help improve productivity and make tasks more efficient
• Prepare and conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) of online tools to continually improve their usability
• To maintain good working relationships internally, externally and with 3rd parties in order to reflect the current business requirements
• To manage and develop the Intranet Editor to ensure a consistent service to the business
• To monitor and provide monthly statistical reports on both corporate website and intranet sites to identify key trends and make improvements
• To be aware of new trends and technologies to make sure we are using the best available tools that are compatible with Group policies and to continually improve the service to the business

Key Performance Indicators

• Intranet sites are kept up to date and the homepage regularly updated with company news
• Corporate sites represent the company in a positive manner and are kept up to date with press releases etc
• All sites adhere to the corporate company guidelines and represent the brand
• Intranet sites to score highly in the Communications Survey and to be seen as a valid source of information for the business
• Participate in global meetings and conference calls with Group in respect of online development projects
• Statistical reports created to monitor the use of the sites and improvements suggested to ensure a positive trend in the number of visits
• Provide feedback from UAT and take action where appropriate
• Prepare and deliver two meetings every year with the intranet editors to promote best practice and discuss improvements
• To regularly meet with the direct report and ensure the PDR is completed in a timely manner

Candidate Requirements

Knowledge, skills and experience

Essential

• Web design and development skills, web editorial ability e.g. writing for the web
• Confident using content management systems (CMS), preferably Tridion CMS
• Ability to understand and produce statistical reports, preferably with Google Analytics and/or Web Trends
• At least three years experience working for a large organisation in a similar role
• Work together with internal and external stakeholders to continuously update and improve the websites and intranet sites design, ensuring that it is in line with the company core brand and communication messages
• Create e-communication plans and work strategically with all areas of the organisation
• Previous experience of conducting CMS training in order to train intranet editors
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, comfortable presenting to and liaising with all levels within the organisation
• Understanding and implementing search engine optimisation (SEO) techniques
• Adobe Photoshop experience
• Effective project management skills
• Proven ability to build and manage third party relationships – Jive, Buto, Yammer
• This is not a technical role but an understanding of how websites are built is essential
