Customer Insight Analyst
Sun Life Direct are the market leading direct to consumer business who sell affordable and accessible protection and savings products direct to those within the UK mass market. We are one of the most experienced direct marketing companies in the life assurance sector and have the largest share of the over 50 whole of life market.
The Customer Insight team support the Sun Life Direct business through provision of customer analysis, campaign analysis, management information and making recommendations to improve the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. The successful candidate will demonstrate a natural inquisitiveness that drives them to question and challenge and ideally be degree educated with a degree in Mathematics, Statistics etc. You will have experience within an analytical role where some statistical techniques have been deployed and would like to develop this area further. Any experience of KXEN, SAS or other statistical software would be advantageous as would any knowledge of database structures. Key deliverables are to provide analysis and reports that turn data into meaningful insight, ensuring that such insight along with relevant recommendations are effectively communicated to the appropriate areas of the business.

Analyse and profile customers using internal and external data sources, and make recommendations for the improvement of targeting Marketing Campaigns
Use available data to build models to predict a customer’s likelihood to buy our products, incorporating key financial metrics to improve the cost efficiency of marketing campaigns
Analyse and communicate results of marketing campaigns to Management and other appropriate members of the Sun Life Direct team
Produce ad hoc reporting and analysis as required, often to tight deadlines
Analysis across a wide section of channels including Retail & Online in order to drive forecasting and targeting recommendations
Work closely with all areas within the marketing distribution team and also with other areas of the business such as Finance and the Operations team with the development and implementation of key projects
Understanding of Marketing tools & techniques such as geodemographic segmentation systems.
Experience analysing Retail Sales data and information would be beneficial.
Proven analytical capability - able to turn data into meaningful insight.
Good presentation and communication skills, able to reason and justify recommendations.
Experience gained in a marketing environment analysing campaign performance and/or data analysis experience would be a distinct advantage.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Access skills.
Deadline and results orientated.
Previous experience of or the desire to manage day to day relationships with suppliers including overseeing and testing technical changes are desirable.
