Job Description

To manage the De Beers Diamond Jewellers (DBDJ) website and supporting digital initiatives across both technical and content related efforts– working closely with the Head of Media and Digital and the rest of the Brand Communications Team to ensure strategy and vision alignment

To work with the Head of Media and Digital in launching a strategic social media strategy and to serve as the Community Manager across all platforms and relevant markets

To track and analyze all metrics relevant to De Beers digital initiatives both centrally and across markets

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Ensure website and digital content is aligned with the ‘Central’ vision for the Brand

Liaise with local markets on their content and technical requirements and concurrently manage the balance of a Central vision

Schedule and update website with current campaigns and initiatives

Review and approve local digital advertising campaigns

Maintain all digital initiatives calendars including search, email and social

Manage with external agency all updates, developments, changes and overall maintenance of website

Continuously monitor and track website performance and ensure proper functionality

Develop quarterly updates and implement respective changes – ensure changes are implemented properly and drive expected results

Supervise agency performance and work with partners to catch and fix any website issues

Monitor the website performance, analytics and digital campaigns

Analyze monthly website performance across determined KPI’s and offer insights to the rest of the Brand Communications team and corporate office

Alert team of changes in performance and suggest action plans for improvement

Monitor SEM and SEO campaigns and liaise with external agencies on developments, changes and initiatives

Responsible for the creation and deployment of all Email Marketing campaigns

Brainstorm with Head of Media and Digital and CRM Manager an overall Central and local Email Marketing strategy

Work with local markets to understand desired products and campaigns to feature and ensure proper language translations

Liaise with product team to select collections to support and confirm required product inventory levels

Track EDM performance and suggest recommendations to optimize performance

Serve as the Community Manager for the Brand across all social media platforms

Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy across markets

Manage external social media agency, develop KPI’s and monitor performance

Establish the ‘voice’ of De Beers and ensure consistency, brand-alignment and medium-appropriate tone

Discover new and emerging trends including up and coming bloggers, platforms and campaigns

Serve as insight for the corporate office on new platforms, competitor campaigns and emerging technology

Monitor competitor activity and share inspiring ideas with the team and corporate office

Work with Head of Media and Digital to implement new mobile website

Participate in the creation process and learn all technical processes in preparation for managing updates once live

Candidate Requirements

Working Experience & Education Requirements

Graduate with at least 3-5 years experience in managing websites and digital campaigns.

Experience in luxury industry preferred

International perspective with cultural sensitivity / global / international experience preferred

Agency / supplier management and relationship building

Technical Skills

Strong digital background and understanding of website management, eCommerce and online media

Fluent in MS Office and Digital specific technology (e.g. Content Management Systems, Google Analytics and Basic HTML coding)

Experience in website creation and development processes

Experience in Email Campaign creation and deployment

Ability to develop application requirements based on input gathered from a variety of sources including analysis results and feedback from the user community

Working knowledge of PPC, SEO, online media etc

Fluent spoken and written English.
French and other languages a plus.
