Currently with 500 customers in the UK, this is a company in hyper growth mode and looking to grow revenue from current and additional verticals.
This growth has created the need a new Online Acquisition & Retention Manager role.
Thus far, growth has been achieved with limited marketing, where the key source of lead generation has come from site scrapes, word-of-mouth and data capture on the parent company’s ‘what’s on’ site.
Limited activity has been tested with PPC and on Facebook and Linkedin. Lead to sales conversion is currently achieved via the sales team and through an email nurturing programme.
In line with a re-focus of company strategic direction, a marketing and sales strategy is being created to send growth into the stratosphere. This involves pricing changes and a radical re-appraisal of customer touch points from brand awareness to lead generation to sales conversion and finally, to retention and up-sell. Marketing plans will cover both B2B and B2C, and whilst focused on the UK initially, will expand into US and other territories by the beginning of 2013. Business strategies are supported by a feature-rich product roadmap that will radically increase the perceived benefits of our offering and ensure they remain a true innovator and become a global market leader in this space.
To help steer the direction of the marketing plan and, more importantly, to execute on key initiatives, our client are looking for a data-driven Acquisition & Retention Manager to fill a key role.
The Acquisition Manager assumes all responsibility for the implementation of strategies and plans to acquire good quality leads and sales. S/he will manage all online and offline channels to maximise performance whilst keeping costs within target. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this is an exciting and pivotal role that will require the individual to build strong relationships across all areas of the business. There will be some direct reports (initially one) and agency partners to manage.
We are looking for exceptionally bright, data driven, analytical candidates with a background in customer acquisition and retention and owning significant budgets.
You will possess knowledge of all channels – PPC, affiliates, email, display, social as well as DM, partnerships and PR.
Experience of both B2B and B2C markets is preferable although not essential.
This is an environment full of passion and ambition and the client will want to see the same obsessive attention to detail and desire to success in the successful applicant.
You should be able to operate at a fast pace, possess excellent communication skills and be able to build strong relationships at all levels.
