Job Description

Econsultancy is seeking an experienced marketing data executive to join its growing marketing team. You’ll work closely with other members of the team to respond to their data and insight requests, and provide measurement, analysis and reporting. You’ll also get involved with our email communications.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, your tasks will include:

Data handling
* Fulfilling data briefs for marketing managers, providing counts and ‘fit for purpose’ lists
* Building lists and creating segments
* Deduping, cleaning and appending data
* Handling unsubscribes and returns information
* Monitoring data quality: unsubscribes, returns and email bounce rates
* Building prospect lists and maintaining them
* Working with print and production suppliers on data
* Managing the use of data from third party sources
* Act as data champion and encourage best practice

Email marketing
* Setting up and testing campaigns for the team
* Creating and managing segments
* Monitoring email effectiveness, reporting on key metrics

Wider marketing activities
* Liaising with print and production
* Ad hoc projects as they arise
* Maintaining key stats for the business
* Tracking business KPIs
* Other ad hoc activities

Candidate Requirements

This role would be suitable for someone looking for a second job, and who is interested in a career at the intersection of marketing and analytics.

* Relevant experience in managing data
* Excel expert (eg. lookups and other formulae, pivots)
* Understanding of marketing campaign processes (eg. segmentation, workflows, targeting, messaging)
* Familiarity with data protection rules for UK/Europe and ideally further afield
* Self-motivated, demonstrate initiative
* Multi-tasker, with good time management and ability to hit deadlines
* Team player - happy to take instructions, but also able to work independently and proactively when required
* Self-motivated, proactive approach, seeking opportunities to develop best practice
* Keen to establish systems and processes to improve efficiencies and effectiveness
* Confident communicator
* Methodical, process-driven
* Inquisitive, analytical thinker
* Attention to detail
* Able to work in Central London (Farringdon)
* Positive approach, and keen to get stuck in!

* Experience working within a marketing department
* Relevant qualifications (academic or professional)
* Familiar with Salesforce
* Familiar with Google Analytics
* Email marketing and/or marketing automation experience
* Interest in digital marketing; Econsultancy membership
