Online MI Analyst

You might not work on the frontline. But, to our customers you’re a critical part of the team throwing them a lifeline. You see, in the grand scheme of things your specialist skills are just as important in solving our customers’ home emergencies as the skills of those holding the spanners or taking the calls. After all, if you don’t do your jb well, our engineers and contract centre people can’t do theirs. We exist to help everyone with their home emergencies and repairs.
When HomeServe was first established in 1993, it was with the aim of being the first place people turn to for home emergencies and repairs. Despite our growth we haven’t lost sight of that goal.
Working within our expanding e-commerce team you will be responsible for analysing our corporate web site to pull information and report consumer join, buy/conversion and drop out points.
To provide valuable and insightful management information that informs the effectiveness and future direction of internet marketing activities for HomeServe and its family of internet sites
Provide regular insight into how the business can improve marketing effectiveness by funnelling analysis of site traffic and campaign conversion highlighting of key performance opportunities and working with other core business functions help profile internet customers and their behaviour:
To provide insight in to the performance of user interaction both on and off site that informs the effectiveness and future modifications of the customer experience
To provide insight and recommendations that support performance, profitability and customer interaction improvements through the web
To help profile customers, customer behaviour and future targeting criteria
To undertake an evaluation and drive subsequent modifications of the end to end tracking requirements for internet marketing
Define and own the daily performance MI reporting
Work with marketing to plan future marketing campaigns and inform tracking requirements
Utilise site metric tools to understand customer behaviour
Proven track record working in an online analytics role.
Experienced user of Omniture analytics software, Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
Good general understanding of online tracking technologies.
The ability to combine data from a variety of internal and external sources to provide regular reporting and adhoc insight.
An appreciation of the factors driving site conversion and the skill to drive change through funnel analysis.
Strong communicator with excellent written and presentation skills, comfortable working alone and as part of a focused team.
